Cartogram

This is a cartogram of gas power in the world. According to worldmapper Japan and North America, followed by the Middle East, are the regions where the most electricity per person is generated from gas. At the other extreme, Central and Southeastern Africa barely generate any electricity from gas. Many territories in Central America also generate no electricity from gas. In absolute terms, the United States generates almost twice as much electricity from gas as the second biggest generator: the Russian Federation. The Russian Federation is a net exporter of gas and coal, whereas the United States is a net importer of these goods. Gas Power relates to geography because gas is important to every country. Gas Power relates to geography because it's important to each country. Observing the chart the countries that use gas power is a MDC and the countries that dont use gas power is a LDC. Gas Power plays an important role for us.
