Blog Topic #9

For this blog topic I chose to seek more information in Egypt. The president of Egypt is Hosni Mubarak. President Hosni Mubarak has ruled Egypt for nearly 30 years. The reason there are protest there is because in all of the middle east right now come down to the fact that there are non-elected dictators sitting in power for a very long time. The people have had no choice but want a choice in who their leader will be. Not a militaristic dictatorship forever. Some oppose this because some leaders have made life better than what it was, or some are special interest groups who have benefited from the ruler while others suffered. There is no clear line, but I go with democracy. No one person should stay in power all their life, it should be a battle left to the people of who is best to lead them. The citiznes of Egypt have been living in poverty their whole life and want change.
